Changes made to ENS/RSMS

Legislation on regulation 5.19 PAM3, which provides policy advice concerning the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) (subclass 186) and Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS) (subclass 187), was updated on July 1.
A major change to the provided policy advice included alterations made to the requirements under the Temporary Residence Transition stream when demonstrating two years’ work with the same employer. Policy changes that came into effect on July 1 make it easier for people to qualify if the business they work for is sold during the 2 years prior to applying for ENS, making
their experience more important than the employer. Previously, if the legal structure of the applicant’s employer changed during the two years, the applicant was no longer eligible for ENS.
